Most of the existing media agencies (not all) in Qatar, started operating as social media
agencies to execute social media accounts for their clients after the boom of this business
due to the worldwide technology boom and afterward Covid 19.
• The focus is on social media marketing while as per studies and statistics social media
generate only 7.8% effectively and leave the other tools of online marketing that are more
effective such as content marketing 17.4%, marketing automation 17.4%, big data 15.3% etc…
• The agencies have accounts overload, and there is no specialization or knowledge in the
different industries, consumer behaviors, segmentation, brand positioning, and personality
which are the main characteristics to target the right consumers.
• The arbitrary execution of ads without clear goals, and strategy or personalization for
each brand. You can find that all the accounts of one agency have the same tone of voice,
content, and approach without taking into consideration the identity of each business.
• The companies/ clients consider their outsourced agencies as executers only and not part
of their business and team.
